Derma roller safety & care
Hygiene is the most important part of derma rolling. These general guidelines apply to any roller.
Before rolling
- Wash your hands, scalp or beard area.
- Spray the Anti Septic prep on the skin and the roller.
- Check the needles. Don't use a roller with bent or blunt needles.
While rolling
- Light pressure, short strokes, a few passes in each direction.
- Lift the roller to change direction instead of dragging it.
- Stop if you see bleeding or feel sharp pain.
After rolling
- Apply the serum, then avoid sun, sweat, swimming and heavy products for the rest of the day.
- Rinse and disinfect the roller, let it air dry and store it in its case.
- Never share your roller.
Who should not use a derma roller
- Anyone with cuts, acne, cold sores, sunburn, eczema, psoriasis or a scalp infection in the area.
- People on blood thinners, with diabetes or bleeding disorders, or who are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless a doctor approves.
- Anyone whose skin is irritated after shaving or waxing.
